A native of New York, Ellen Levine earned her B.S. and M.A. in music and secondary education at Hofstra University. She trained for a decade studying opera with basso Herbert Beattie of the NYC Opera Company, and classical piano with Mr. and Mrs. Alcuri of Juilliard. For thirty years she taught high school music in the Longwood Central School District in Middle Island NY. She is listed with the Steinway teachers of excellence, and hopes to continue to serve the community and share her love of music with students both young and older. She believes that learning a new skill, or rebuilding upon previous experience, will enhance your life in so many unexpected ways.
