​Simone Anthony-Brown is an artist, instructor, curator, and founder of Express Yourself Studios, an art studio, gallery, and creative hub in Maplewood, New Jersey, since 2008.
Her work is celebrated for its vibrant watercolor and acrylic paintings and intricate mixed-media collages, which explore themes of cultural heritage, equity, and social justice. Known for her bold use of color and texture, Simone’s pieces have been collected by art enthusiasts across the United States and Canada. 

As an instructor, Simone has led art workshops for children and adults through her studio, the South Orange/Maplewood Adult School, and at libraries and senior centers throughout Union and Essex County, New Jersey. She specializes in a range of mediums, including acrylics, watercolors, pottery, and mixed media, and enjoys helping participants of all skill levels explore their creativity.
